• From a very early age, I have been fascinated by the unique language of music, naturally drawn to deconstructing and reinterpreting the sounds I encounter. What captivates me most is the correlation between this musical language and its visceral manifestation, bridging cognition and emotion. Music's abstract nature is its greatest charm, encapsulated perfectly in the following quote:

"The inexpressible depth of music, so easy to understand and yet so inexplicable, is due to the fact that it reproduces all the emotions of our innermost being, but entirely without reality and remote from its pain. Music expresses only the quintessence of life and its events, never these themselves." - Arthur Schopenhauer

  • I often begin my composition process by devising a new approach or redesigning an established form. I draw inspiration from avant-garde styles such as serialism and minimalism, as well as from traditional methods that use motivic and thematic development within the context of romantic and jazz harmony. Working with film is a particular delight since the visuals dictate the parameters in which to work. This can catalyse creativity, as the music doesn't have to be tied to a specific form; it can breathe its own life.

  • My passion is to compose for a wide range of film genres, bringing a distinctly unique perspective to each project. Whether the music enhances the visual or characterizes the entire work, I aim for the score to resonate and captivate profoundly.
